My Design Philosophy
The most rewarding part of being a stylist is when a client feels connected to their design. It is my primary aim in each and every project to allow clients to feel heard and understood.
I believe there is a difference between trying something new, and straying away from your comfort zone. At the point of completion,
your space needs to feel safe and harmonious for you - using colours or styles just because they’re trending or a designer brand, doesn’t mean they’re right for everyone.
Every client will receive a complimentary consultation, followed by choosing a design pathway to suit your vision and budget.
It’s important to me that
you have as much or as little input throughout this process as you’d find comfortable. We can work together closely, or if you prefer, I can take a more designer-led approach - whatever feels right for you and your project.
I aim to show you a few ideas that could inject the difference to the space that you desire, whilst harnessing your personal style.
I receive positive feedback around my advice to think about how you use the space, and cater for practicalities.This is a huge part of the initial concept for me, and your input is hugely valued.
However, if you’d like to pass the baton over to me for the remainder of the design process, you are very welcome to.
A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Amanda - I’m delighted to introduce you to Natural Muse Interiors.
I’ve taken pride in designing homes in the North East & Yorkshire for over 5 years. My passion for the way an individual or family uses a space heavily influences my work, as well as catering to any style, from subtle neutrals to powerful maximalism.
I truly believe that everyone should be able to access skilled design advice. There’s an unfortunate stigma that comes with having a stylist, but I’m dedicated to making this accessible to everyone.
I’m proud to work to all budgets, suggesting products from affordable shops, right up to high-end brands.
I truly believe that the way our homes make us feel is a huge contributor to our wellbeing. A large part of the research that influenced my qualifications in interior design was based on the psychological impact a space’s colour, layout and key features can have on those within it. This, alongside your individual upbringing and unique influences, build to form your own style - which I can’t wait to get to know.
